The Christian life is a life of service (Romans 12:1-2, 7).

We pattern our lives as lives of service according to the pattern of Christ:

• Isa. 42:1-4
• Isa. 49:1-6; Luke 19:10; Heb. 2:9; 1 Tim. 2:4
• Isa 53:1-12
• 1 Pet. 2:18-25; 1 Cor. chapters 3 & 6
• Phil. 2:5-11
• Phil. 2 & Rom. 12 & Col. 3 are go-to passages for Christian living - obedience & humility & service

Practical implications / Applications:

• Christians need to look for opportunities to service (1 Pet. 2 - Jesus wrote with His life how we are to live; Jas. 2:15-16).
• Christians need to be efficient and tactful (1 Cor. 13).
• Christians need to think about being happy servants (2 Cor. 9:6-7; 8-11 - God loves a cheerful servant!).
